Meg is 20 today

Today Meg turns 20. She is quickly joining the ranks of those of us who are officially older and wiser. Well, I don't know about the wiser part, but older nonetheless. Here are a few things I love about Meg:
  • She created the first Weekly Wednesday Winner Dinner. Although we sort of slacked off at the end of the semester, for the first half of the semester, it was one of my favorite things about the week.
  • Meg knows more people than anyone I know. 959 Facebook friends? I don't think I'm physically capable of even tolerating that many people, let alone allowing them to be my Facebook friend.
  • Meg has pulled me out of my shell... And when I say that, I mean at all hours of the day and night. I've never been much of a night person, but ever since moving in with Meg, I have learned. Slip and Slide down Old Main Hill at midnight, anyone?
  • I laugh with/at Meg more than anyone else in glenHOOD 5.
  • Meg always lends a shoulder to cry on... even if that happens once every three months whether I need to or not.
  • Meg speaks her mind. She can be cordial to people, but even if I can't read her expression at the time, I know it won't be long before I get a full blown account of what she's thinking.
And the number one reason I love Meg is because she is responsible for my favorite story of fall semester. Any of this ringing a bell, Meggers?
Meg: *KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK* TELL ME EVERYTHING!!!!! HOW DID IT GO?!?!?!
Me: *Stuttering incoherently* Uh, well, uh, um, he, uh, well, he's still here..... *Blushing sheepishly*
Meg: Oh... ok....
1.5 hours later
Meg: *(Quietly) knock knock knock* (Whispering) Is he still here?
Me: *Huge eye roll* Yup, he's still here.
Meg: Oh, ok. Um, well, I'm gonna be in my room. We'll chat later?
Me: Sure, Meg.

Love ya, gurl!!!! Have a great birthday! We'll celebrate when we're all back in the 'hood in Helltartica.

Love,
Carlie

Christmas Break!

The roommates have officially dispersed for the break. Meg left today, Nat will married in less than two weeks, Car and I are leaving tomorrow, Stacey is headed down to St. George this weekend and Kristin will be in and out. It's kind of a sad moment and the 'hood will definitely be cold and lonely. So I just wanted to say that I love you girls, have a great break, and I'll see everyone in a month!

Nat is old

Natalie has finally joined Shana and me and gotten old. This has been a big semester for Nat. In addition to getting married in less than a month, even her birth certificate says she is leaving childhood. Here are five things that I love about Nat:
  • I love how her smile is absolutely infectious. It lights up her whole face and I can't help but smile when she does.
  • When Nat gets riled, the only thing she says if "FREAK!"
  • She hasn't turned into Bridezilla.
  • Thanks to her, the rest of us didn't have to supplement the kitchen much.
  • She always invites us to go do things with her and Jordan, even though I'm sure sometimes they'd rather have some alone time.
Love you tons, Natalie! I'm going to miss living with you, but am so excited for you!

Love,
Carlie

Celebrating Natalie's Engagement...

Tonight was girl's night out to celebrate Natalie's engagement at Hamilton's. Our favorite waiter Victor VI was absolutely fantastic. Talk of wedding plans, temples, colors, dresses, tuxes, and flowers filled the air as the countdown to the December wedding begins!!!

Weekly Wednesday Winner Dinner

It's beginning to get a little chilly up here so,
this week Carlie made taco soup!
It was AMAZING!
We love Mother Carlie!

Here are our winners for the week:

until next week...

Spider!

So tonight we are all sitting at the kitchen table and then we hear Kristen screaming "Spider, Spider!" and hitting the floor with her shoe.
I go out to look at it, and what do you know, it was a piece of black thread......

scary huh?

Congrats!

Natalie and Jordan are taking the plunge. I'm thrilled that Natalie is happy. Congratulations, Girl! We love you! As for me, Mae West sums it up best: "Marriage is a great institution, but I'm not ready for an institution yet." :)

All the best, Beautiful!!!!
